Cardboard boy is a winner!

We love nurturing new talent and celebrating success so when one of our summer interns, Kelley O'Sullivan, won an award at the Underground Film Festival award with her animated film Cardboard Boy last week end we just had to shout about it!

'Cardboard Boy' also won the 'Student Digital Story Telling Award' at the Digital Media award earlier this year. A short stopmotion film, it's both evocative and emotional – "about a little boy's imagination and how a cardboard box could be anything and everything to him" according to Kelley. The animation is exquisite, perfectly paced with the track and the twist at the end really tugs at the heart strings – a deserved award winner.

Kelley is just one of the many burgeoning creative talents we have taken into the Strategem fold to help hone and develop their skills – always an invaluable learning experience for the students, who bring great energy and enthusiasm with them.
